yes it is too strong. Human shampoo is the wrong ph %26amp; often contains soap %26amp; foaming agents which will dry %26amp; irritate dog skin esp. puppies. That wouldn't be the best thing for your puppy's skin. You really should purchase a mild shampoo made for puppies. If your puppy got into something really offensive and that is why you need to bathe him, then use your shampoo for tonight and get some puppy shampoo tomorrow and rewash him. I would tell you that it wouldn't harm a older dog but I will tell you that it will not clean its hair and since it is a puppy, it will harm it.
Depends on he kind of shampoo. If it's for dry hair then sure it wouldn't hurt the dogs coat too bad, but wjytake that risk. Buy dog shampoo. It isn't expensive.
