I don't know about oily hair, but as far as hairloss goes, make sure the ph is not excessively high. Shampoo like Pantiene has a very high ph (around 13 or somthing) This alone can cause your hair to fall out. Try somthing more ph balanced (7) like bed head (i am sure there are cheaper brands with a balanced ph too)Best shampoo for oily hair and hairloss?
Oily hair does several things that prevent proper hair growth including become hard and blocking the hair from respiration or breathing properly to reproduce. My hair was oily until I started using a moisturizing shampoo. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it works. Just like they say to moisturize oily skin. It makes the hair more healthy and it is able to contain its oils, rather than push them out. Like dumping water on arid soil- it just rolls off, but if you moisturize the soil first, it will absorb the water. I use Finesse moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner for my no-longer oily, but thin hair. I find it appears to have more body when it is healthy too.
